Door mantle

Baroque architecture abounds in Mdina. This is a great example of one of the many carved stone door mantles.

And when you have finished being amazed at the floor, cast your eye to the stained glass and the ceiling paintings overhead.

Count Roger the Norman built a major church on this site in 1090. Previously a small chapel had marked the spot where Publius had converted to Christianity after St Paul had cured his father.
