The Valley of the Temples at Agrigento in Southern Sicily is an ancient site originally established by the Greeks around 600BC. The temples actually sit on a ridge - it is certainly an atmospheric site with the structures framed against the sky and the Mediterranean Sea. |
The sandstone is aged, but you can see the skill of the ancient builders. |
